Mark first became interested in geology as a sophomore at California Lutheran University and can thank geology for introducing him to his wife of (8) eight years, Shauna.  Shortly after completing his graduate degree he began his career as an environmental and geotechnical consultant in California.  Mark and Shauna moved up to Eugene two years ago to find a place to call home and to start a family.  Mark is an avid black and white landscape photographer, and seems to always be with his camera, whether it is snowshoeing though the Cascades or backpacking in the Sierras.

Mark has over eight (8) years of professional experience with an emphasis on the investigation of subsurface soil and groundwater contamination.  At BB&A Environmental Mark has project management responsibilities including preparation Stormwater Pollution Control Plans (SWPCP), site monitoring and reporting of stormwater discharge, and compliance monitoring of Underground Injection Control (UIC) systems.  Mark’s experience also includes investigation and oversight of numerous underground storage tank (UST) and residential heating oil tanks (HOT) cleanup projects.  Mark is also responsible for various site investigative and sampling activities and regulatory correspondence and reporting.
